January’s (virtual)Book Club

The Juggling Mother

A discussion and Q&A with Amanda Watson on her latest book, The Juggling Mother: Coming Undone in the Age of Anxiety. Amanda makes the controversial case that mothers who appear to be frantically juggling paid and unpaid work perpetuate established social inequities of race, gender, class, and ability—even as they take on stigma and an unfair share of the load.

We will have an open, candid conversation about our own experiences and how we can begin to shift this. This is a casual, conversation so make sure to make a warm cup of tea, some healthy snacks, and get cosy!

When: Sunday, January 10th from 3pm - 4pm (pst)

Where: Zoom (sign up link will be shared closer to the date)

$50 (EXCLUSIVE MEMBER PRICE)

November Q&A Chat

with Dr. Tedi Fisher >> Let’s talk about ying/yang theory & motherhood

We we will chat with Dr. Tedi Fisher, a mom of two, a wife, yogi, Chinese Medicine Doctor and lover of finding balance in the business. TCM is a natural medical system that has withstood thousands of years of practice and results. We look at each person as a complex and individual system, which means each person is treated uniquely based on their constitution, lifestyle and symptoms. TCM is empowering in that it tells your body how to heal, it directs your body to areas that need healing and allows the innate intelligence of your system to complete the process. You truly heal yourself.

In Tedi’s Words:

My clinical practice is focused on, but not limited to fertility and women’s health, pain, mental health and anti aging.

Included in my toolbox is acupuncture, moxibustion, Chinese herbs, cupping, gua sha, tui na (massage) and lifestyle and dietary counselling.

My journey started with a fundamental yoga practice followed by completing a degree in Kinesiology, to becoming a yoga teacher and certified personal trainer, and finally a 5 year diploma of Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine including an internship at the Tzu Chi hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. I’m looking forward to sharing my love of health and healing with you.
