Our July theme is Body Nourishment: Summer Edition

"Your body is precious. It is our vehicle for awakening. Treat it with care" ~ Buddha.

We are almost in the month of July! Our July theme is Body Nourishment | Summer Edition. There are so many ways to nourish our bodies during the summer season, specifically we are going to be focusing on ways to move our body (indoors and outdoors) AND new ideas on how we can nourish our body with fresh and healthy foods - making it easy for us busy Mamas!

We all want to live a healthy life. Our body is the source of living. With that, it's important that we are more mindful about how we take care of our body through movement/fitness and what we eat through all stages of motherhood - from pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and beyond!

Body movement and eating well is something that is very important to me personally - I feel more whole and recharged. Taking 15-30 minutes per day or every few days to get some sort of exercise in helps me feel more grounded in my body - whether its yoga, taking walks, a home workout or hopping on the spin bike.

As a family, we are constantly looking for new recipes and ways that we can have healthy foods that are easy to cook or prep and that we will all eat (not always easy with a picky 5 year old!). We love to go to Farmer's Markets in the Summer and picking up local and in-season produce. There's just something about eating foods that match the season that makes you feel connected to each other and the earth.

This month, my intention is to help provide tools and resources for both summer nutrition and fitness - whatever level you may be - including ways to stay fit while pregnant and postpartum. We are so excited to have female wellness experts join us this month in both areas of expertise to provide tips and support for you to integrate into your daily life.

Tell me, what does nourishing your body look like to you?

Reflection

This week, take some time to jot down what were some ways that you nourished your body this past month? It could be through a form of body movement, trying a new recipe, taking your supplements daily? And, if you wanted, feel free to share them here!

steps to feel healthy & fit

Taking small steps to feel healthy and fit! Whether you have had a chance to take part in the Mama Trainer workout or not, start by setting aside between 15 - 30 minutes 3 times this week to fit in a workout. Pick a workout that feels best for you at the time. Yoga, cardio, an outdoor hike or run, a pilates class or a home workout. At the end of this week, jot down 3 ways you moved your body in the past week and how it made you feel after.
